Privacy
Nexa is a Cape Town messaging app. We collect the account, suburb, language, and sentences you choose to share so people can talk, and so work nearby can match when you turn it on. This notice is written for people in South Africa (POPIA).
Responsible party: the operator of Nexa on appointly.world. Privacy questions: noreply@appointly.world, or use in-app reports.
- We store your email, name, suburb, the language you read in, and what you said so matching can work.
- Messages are kept as written. A translation is shown in the reader’s language. Tap a message to see the original. Uncached translations are sent to a translation service as text only.
- If you write who you want to meet, including gender or orientation, that stays on your account. It is used only after you confirm you are 18 or older, only when the other person opted in too, and never for work nearby or on someone else’s screen.
- Exact private coordinates, email, and deal history are not shown on public profiles.
- Phone numbers stay hidden until you both share them in a chat.
- A job you need done can be shared as a public link. Don’t put a phone number in that sentence.
- Processors: our host, email (Resend, when configured), and Telegram (if you use the bot).
- We keep account data while your account is open. You can export or delete it in Settings.
- Account deletion anonymizes your email, takes down what you said, and signs you out.
- Analytics are first-party and must not include secrets or payment credentials.
- Nexa does not take custody of funds. We do not sell your data.
- You can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) if we don’t resolve a privacy issue.
Nexa is for people 18 and older. Last updated 8 October 2026.
